Follow these steps if video content in your course seems to require an unusually long amount of time to load.
- There are several potential reasons for excessive buffering on videos the Leadership Accelerator. Here are some steps to handle the most common issues.
- Refresh your browser
- Use the automated System Checker tool
- Locate your name in the top right corner of your screen and click it to open the drop down menu
- Select System Checker,
- The System Checker will automatically run a quick system compatibility and connection speed checks. If any of the sections shown do not display a check mark, click on that section to see what may be causing an issue. (Domains and Email Addresses will always display a question mark)
- Disable any ad blockers - if you are not certain if you have an ad blocker enabled, the System Checker tool can verify this.
- To disable the ad blocker in Chrome
1. At the top right, click More. Settings.
2. Click Privacy and security. Site Settings.
3. Click Additional content settings. Ads.
4. Turn off Block ads on sites that show intrusive or misleading ads. - Browsers other than Chrome do not have a built in ad blocker, and use third party extensions instead. If you have installed an ad block extension in one of these browsers, locate the extension and disable it.
- To disable the ad blocker in Chrome
- Close extra browser tabs, windows, or programs that may be affecting your computer's performance.
- Adjust the player stream by clicking the gear icon and then choosing one of the lower quality settings in the player to speed up the connection.
- If you have tried all of these and are still experiencing excessive video buffering there may something else slowing down your internet connection unrelated to the Leadership Accelerator platform.
